After the positive sonogram last Thursday, I didn’t hear from the doctor’s office so I called on Monday and was told I could stop the pelvic rest. I know it sounds like such a simple thing, but it was really cramping my style. Besides not being able to have sex, I wasn’t able to lift anything heavier than, say, a laundry basket full of wet clothes. Well, thank goodness that never came up, right?
I’m glad that’s over, although I do think I’ve still got the BV infection. I’m not spotting, but I’ve been having other symptoms consistent with BV, ones I didn’t have before the course of antibiotics. I called them last week the day I finished the antibiotics because I still had some minor spotting, and was told to wait at least a week. I’ll be calling them again tomorrow but I’m starting to feel like a pest because I’ve talked to them at least twice a week since I found out I was pregnant.
We told the kids this past weekend about the pregnancy, and they all seem positive about the idea, although it’s early and it’s still an abstract concept.
My grandmother bought us a brand new crib that converts into a toddler bed/day bed, as well as a new mattress. She also paid for my brother’s used infant carseat/stroller combo, the motorized swing, and the saucer thingy that’s today’s version of a walker but safer, because as we all know kids should be raised in a bubble.
I’m STILL not sleeping well, but I’m confident it won’t be for much longer. I’ve had two cups of chamomille tea tonight (thank you Nicki P) but it’s a catch-22; it may make me sleepy but I run the risk of being up all night peeing.
It might be time for me to see which wins, the tea or the bladder…..good night!
